Simple Pink Gradient Nail Art for Valentines Day

Happy Friday 13th everyone, hopefully nothing unlucky has happened! Just a quick post today to show you this pretty pink gradient manicure, quite seasonally appropriate as it's Valentine's Day tomorrow...

Now to be perfectly honest, I couldn't care less about Valentine's Day, and why it deserves so much coverage in the media is beyond me (£££)! But apparently all this fluffy pink and hearts malarky seems to have entered my subconscious, because when I sat down to paint my nails, this is what happened.

Good news is, I love how it turned out. Gradients (or ombre?) are relatively simple to do but I think they are so effective and it's one of my favourite nail art techniques. Topped with a fine glittery top coat I think this looks really pretty. I also took the opportunity to use my new Northern Lights polish from Models Own, a light pink glitter with a scattering of holo glitters thrown in too.

Polishes Used

Gradient: Barry M Gelly Nail Paints in Pink Punch, Dragonfruit and Rose Hip; topped with one coat of China Glaze - Fairy Dust.

Accent Nail: Three coats of Models Own - Northern Lights.
